The London team was heavily defeated in their own stadium last weekend by Manchester United, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani, with a score of 0-3 in the match corresponding to the tenth round of the English league. This result seems to have been decisive for Tottenham's management to make the decision to dismiss him.
In the statement published on the team's own website, it can be read: "The Club can announce today that Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa, and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties."

Nuno Espírito Santo leaves Tottenham's home after having played 17 matches in approximately four months. The spurs are in eighth place in the Premier League with 15 points, third in the Conference League with four points, and qualified for the quarterfinals of the League Cup.
