Rabiot is not surprised by Kylian Mbappé's great level: "He has room for improvement"

Kylian Mbappé gave another football exhibition at the Qatar 2022 World Cup . The French forward scored a brace and helped his team defeat Poland (3-1) in the round of 16. After the match, Adrien Rabiot praised his teammate's brilliant performance in the mixed zone.

"I'm not surprised in the sense that I know his potential, although he still has room for improvement. Then, it's incredible the goals he scores, the positions, the angles he manages to find. It's great, it's what we expect from him. We work behind and wait for him to do the work in front," the midfielder said.

The player who plays for Juventus also highlighted Olivier Giroud's achievement, who scored a goal against the Polish team and became France's top scorer with 52 goals. In addition, Rabiot referred to Hugo Lloris, who equaled Lilian Thuram on the appearances table with the national team, with a total of 152.

"It's incredible what has been happening from the beginning. We were waiting for (Giroud) in the dressing room to celebrate it, unfortunately, he was at the doping control. We are all very aware that it is incredible, it is great, he is a very humble person working. We will celebrate it among ourselves, the squad, and also Hugo (Lloris, who equalled the caps record). They are two important players who have a long career and deserve it," he pointed out.

On the other hand, Rabiot highlighted the group's solidarity attitude to achieve victory. "We had a somewhat complicated moment in the first half, but it's tactical. We really have this solidarity, this serenity when we want it, and it's difficult for the rival to go through and create serious chances. This is the basis because we have the players up front to score," he commented.

The team led by Didier Deschamps will now face England, who eliminated Senegal. It is confirmed that the next match of 'Les Bleus' will be on Saturday, December 10th at the Al Bayt Stadium, at 2:00 p.m. (Peruvian and Colombian time).
