The French team was not at all happy after finishing their participation in Group C of the 2022 World Cup Qatar with a 1-0 defeat against Tunisia, especially because in the final moments of the match, a goal from Antoine Griezmann was disallowed, which would have meant the final 1-1 score.

According to the AFP news agency, a source from the FFF stated that an official complaint has already been filed with FIFA regarding the disallowed goal, as they maintain that this occurred after referee Matthew Conger had already ended the match.
"The VAR was used after the end of the match, which goes against the protocol for the use of this technology," explained the source mentioned to the news portal.
The goal was disallowed due to an offside position by the Atlético de Madrid player, which in itself was controversial, but the controversy increased because the final whistle had already been blown and the players had already considered the match over.
The French national team coach, Didier Deschamps, also expressed his disagreement with the referee's decision.
"I hope they respond to me with the regulations. I don't know all the regulations and they haven't been able to explain this to me. The referee blew the final whistle and then restarted the match. I don't know if he can do that. I went to ask. If anyone has Collina's phone number..." Deschamps said in a press conference.
Griezmann also complains
French forward Antoine Griezmann believes that his goal in the 98th minute, which would have prevented France's defeat in the final group stage match against Tunisia, should not have been disallowed because he had no intention of playing the ball.
"When the cross comes in, I am offside. But it's okay, I told the referee that I had no intention of playing the cross. Then the defender made a bad clearance and that's why I resumed the play," explained the Atlético de Madrid player.
