The French club reacted to the appearance of an information from 'Le Paresien', which reveals an "unprecedented contract" worth 630 million euros gross with Kylian Mbappé
The PSG reacted to the information spread by the newspaper 'Le Paresien', which reports an "unprecedented contract" worth 630 million euros gross over three years with Kylian Mbappé.
The aforementioned media highlights the astronomical figures promised to the forward if he remains at PSG until 2025.
"The negotiations between PSG and the Mbappé clan have led to an unprecedented contract. The contract of the century, the biggest ever signed in the history of sports", writes the newspaper.
PSG refutes the information
"After the sensationalist article published (...) about the club and one of its players, Paris Saint-Germain refutes the narrative and the details", reads a statement from the club.
"The timing of the publication raises questions a few hours before an important Champions League match. Paris Saint-Germain will not stoop to make further comments. Everyone at the club is positively focused on the next Champions League match", PSG continues.
If the sums presented by 'Le Parisien' are true, the total amount would exceed the record contract signed by Argentinian Lionel Messi with Barcelona (2017-2021), which reached 555 million euros gross (547 million dollars) for four years, according to the Spanish newspaper El Mundo.
And that's not all: in addition to the club contract, all the income from Mbappé's sponsorship deals (Nike, Hublot, EA Sport, Dior, Oakley...) are added, according to Le Parisien.
