About the Premier Pádel
Out of the 56 couples that started in the main draw of the Paris Major, which is being played at Roland Garros, only four remain; yes, the Premier Pádel semifinals are set.
In a day without surprises, the four favorite couples advanced to the semi-finals without any major obstacles, getting closer to the final that will be played this Sunday.
Uneventful Day
After what happened on Thursday, where several matches were decided in the third set, it was expected that the quarter-finals would be closer matches; however, the top-seeded pairings in the tournament made their position count and comfortably won their matches.
In the first clash, Brazilian Pablo Lima and Argentine Franco Stupaczuk eliminated Lucas Campangolo and Javier Garrido 6-2 and 7-6; now they will face the top favorites, the world number one: Alejandro Galán and Juan Lebrón, who defeated the historic Fernando Belasteguín and Arturo Coello 6-2 and 6-2.
Meanwhile, Federico Chingotto and Juan Tello defeated Capra and Sánchez Agüero in the second match of the day, with a score of 6-3 and 6-3. Now the Argentines will face Martín Di Nenno and Paquito Navarro, the second-seeded pair in the tournament, who eliminated Leal Pérez and Rico Dasi 6-3 and 6-1.
The semi-finals of the third Premier Pádel Major will start at 3:00 PM, France time; and the winners will face each other on Sunday in the title match, with a prize of over 47,000 euros per player.
In the first two major tournaments, Di Nenno and Navarro prevailed in Doha, Qatar, while Lebrón and Galán emerged victorious in Rome.
