The Daytona Soccer Fest is taking place this weekend, with musical and football events that are attracting the attention of the public. Precisely, this Sunday, on the second day of the spectacular event, there will be a match between the legends of America vs. Europe, in which Peruvian Claudio Pizarro will participate.
Through social media, the organization of this festival announced the presence of several world football figures who will come together for an exhibition match on the field built at the Daytona International Speedway, the renowned Nascar racetrack. The field formation was completed in record time: it took only five days.
According to the official website of the event, the American team will be formed by Argentinians Darío Sala, Javier Zanetti, Javier Mascherano, Augusto Fernández, and Juan Sebastián Verón; Brazilians Naldo, Fred, and Kleberson; American Jermaine Jones; Bolivian Marco Etcheverry; Colombian Juan Pablo Ángel; Peruvian Claudio Pizarro; Hondurans Carlos Pavón, Amado Guevara, and Luciano Emilio; Mexican Pável Pardo; and Salvadoran Fernando Palomo.
On the other hand, the European squad will have Franco-Argentinian David Trezeguet; Frenchman Mikael Silvestre; Spaniards Miguel Moya, Juanfran Torres, and Gaiska Mendieta; Iranian Ramak Safí; Bosnian Nurdin Hrustic; Swede Marco Mitrovic; Dutchman Patrick Kluivert; Croat Tommy Krizanovic; Serbian Petsa Ivanovic; and Argentinian Martín Gramática, NFL Super Bowl champion as the kicker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will reinforce the team.
According to the schedule, the appearance of Claudio Pizarro and the other legends at the Daytona Soccer Fest will be on Sunday, July 3, starting at 2:00 p.m. (Peruvian time). It should be mentioned that it will not be the first match of the festivity, as Saturday successfully hosted the Millonarios vs. América de Cali, which ended with a 2-1 victory for the 'Blues'.
