The president of the French Professional Football League (LFP), Vincent Labrune, responded to Javier Tebas, the head of LaLiga, for the criticisms launched against PSG and against Kylian Mbappé, which he considered "disrespectful slander."

In response to Tebas' criticism of Mbappé's renewal in exchange for large sums of money, despite the losses accumulated by PSG, Labrune reminds him that "the financial balance rules that you repeatedly complain about are rules that you contributed to approve," as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee.
The president of the French clubs recalls that for decades, Real Madrid and Barcelona were the clubs that closed the major signings, which discredits Tebas in his crusade against what he calls "State clubs."
Labrune considers Tebas' criticisms of the French clubs as "denigrating," a position he considers "unacceptable and manifestly false."
