Saint-Etienne terminates contract with Claude Puel
The harsh defeat reached the breaking point for the club's executives who informed the coach that his contract was terminated. Through social media, the team where Miguel Trauco plays announced the departure of the 60-year-old coach with a brief statement.
"The executive president of AS Saint-Etienne has made the decision to remove Mr. Claude Puel from the management of the professional team," was the message from the club that has won the Ligue 1 the most times on their official Twitter account. In a matter of minutes, the fans expressed their agreement.
As it is remembered, Claude Puel arrived at Saint-Etienne in 2019, going on to manage a total of 88 matches, with 26 victories, 23 draws, and 39 defeats. In the current season, the 'green' team is placed last with only 12 points in 17 games.
Miguel Trauco's situation
Regarding Miguel Trauco, the 'Genius' was recovering his starting position and even scored an amazing goal three matches ago, which helped the club return to victory in Ligue 1. In the last Saint-Etienne match, the national defender remained on the bench.
Saint-Etienne announces Loic Perrin as new sports coordinator
