The French football was shocked in the last hours after it was known that PSG footballer Kheira Hamraoui had suffered an assault by two attackers, even worse hours later when her own teammate Aminata Diallo was detained after being accused as one of the masterminds.
However, hours after the confusing event, this morning PSG issued a statement announcing that Diallo was released by the authorities and without any charges filed against her. It was also revealed that the detention in Lyon of one of Diallo's acquaintances involved in the investigations was withdrawn.
That being said, the release of both does not guarantee that the French justice will not apply any corrective or investigation on them in the future, depending on how the case progresses.
Aminata was under arrest for a total of 36 hours, after the initial hypotheses of the authorities pointed to her as the mastermind behind the assaults. As it is known, Kheira was assaulted by two criminals with blows and iron weapons in her legs.
The suspicions that the local police were considering were that Aminata would have hired two hitmen to injure her teammate in order to take over a position in PSG's starting eleven, as well as in the French Women's National Team where they also compete for a spot.
For now, Kheira is recovering satisfactorily from her injuries and this weekend she could resume training almost without problems, while PSG, in a statement, thanks the media for respecting the delicate issue and appeals to the presumption of innocence for all individuals until proven otherwise.
