Se pierde el Clásico
The Competition Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has issued its verdict, and the news is not encouraging for Real Madrid defender and captain Nacho Fernández. After the harsh tackle that resulted in a straight red card in the match against Girona last Saturday, for matchday 8 of LaLiga, the Real Madrid player will have to serve a three-match suspension (against Osasuna, Sevilla, and Barcelona), in addition to receiving an accessory fine as established in article 122.
The Competition Committee's resolution is clear in its justification: "Three-game suspension for employing dangerous play causing harm that impairs the faculties of the offended party, with an accessory fine to the club in the amount of 1,050 and 600 to the offender." This measure reflects the severity of Nacho's tackle and its impact on the affected player, Portu.
