The defeat of Real Madrid against Atlético could have raised concerns in some sectors of the club, but Carlo Ancelotti seems to maintain a calm and open attitude towards the future, even when rumors about possible successors in the white bench arise. After the fall in the Metropolitan City, the Italian did not show annoyance at the speculation surrounding his position as head coach of Madrid. In fact, the Italian expressed his desire to see former players of the institution, such as Xabi Alonso, become coaches of the club in the future.
"I had Alonso as a player, he had a high level of football knowledge and he is doing very well with Bayer Leverkusen. He has reading and ability, I wish that one day, like Raúl or Arbeloa, they become coaches of Real Madrid," Ancelotti said prior to the league match against UD Las Palmas (26/09 at noon).
