Aware of their weaknesses, Carlo Ancelotti's team begins to think about the next season. Furthermore, they are looking to stop improvising positions.

Real Madrid is in a crucial stage of the season, despite having practically lost LaLiga to FC Barcelona. The team will play the final of the Copa del Rey and wants to reach the final of the Champions League, when they face Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola, in the semifinals. However, Carlo Ancelotti knows that they need reinforcements to strengthen themselves in the next cycle and they are already preparing the ground: there are already two confirmed signings and one is close to being completed.

Position improvisation has been a constant throughout the season and the idea has not been well received by 'Carletto'. Players like Eduardo Camavinga, Nacho, Fede Valverde, and Toni Kroos have played in different positions. Precisely, the former has played several games as a left back, even though his main position is midfielder.

With the 2023-2024 period approaching, the Merengues have signed Fran García and Brahim Díaz, and the signing of Jude Bellingham could be completed in the next few days. In the case of García, he has excelled at Rayo Vallecano and seems to have convinced the executives that he is ready to return to his original club. Vallecas values him at 10 million and Madrid has already paid half of it.

Brahim Díaz will return from his two-year loan spell at Milan, where he has made a name for himself and competed to secure a starting spot. The Italian club wants to sign him, but Madrid will bring him back, rejecting that possibility and appealing to the need for more options.

The situation of Bellingham

Finally, Bellingham seems to be the third signing in the summer transfer market: there is an agreement with the English player to sign him until 2029, with a net salary payment of 14 million euros for him. However, the transfer fee is still pending: Borussia Dortmund is asking for 140 million and Florentino Pérez's offer is 120 million. Only that detail remains to be defined in the following days.

With the British player, the Whites ensure the arrival of a powerful and fast left back, a creative central midfielder with scoring ability, and a creative attacking midfielder who plays on the right. Now they need a replacement to give Karim Benzema some rest, which could be youth academy player Álvaro Rodríguez, although he still has a lot to prove in the Spanish First Division.

Another pending position is the right back, as Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vásquez have shown an inconsistent level. Vinicius Tobias (a Brazilian from Real Madrid Castilla) is currently the main option. The youth academy player would be an emergency resource with a price of 10 million, and Madrid has asked for another year on loan to see how he progresses. These are the current cases.
