James Rodríguez is accused of visiting strip clubs in Greece.

James Rodríguez left Olympiacos surprisingly and is currently a free agent, without a new club. While his name is being mentioned in different markets such as Brazil, Argentina or Turkey, Greece does not have a good memory of the left-handed player.

On April 13, James and the Greek institution announced the end of their working relationship on social media. "I would like to thank everyone for all the time we have spent together. Although we go our separate ways, I feel that I will always be a member and welcome in the family of the great port Pireos. I wish Olympiacos the best and much success in the future," wrote the 'Cafetero'.

It was later revealed that James Rodríguez's last days at Olympiacos were very conflictive and that his departure was due to a confrontation he had with coach José Anigo.

Olimpiacos' fan base, called Gate 7, began pointing fingers at the responsibility for the club's poor campaign, as they were eliminated in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League and are currently ranked third in the Greek league, with no mathematical chances of fighting for the title.

In this regard, they accused James Rodríguez of frequenting strip clubs during his time at the club. "James, a player that other Greek clubs can only dream of, was a regular at strip clubs every Saturday!", says their statement.

James Rodríguez registered 5 goals and 6 assists in 23 matches played with the Olympiacos jersey.

Uncertain future

At the moment, the left-hander is focusing on his personal business while he looks for a new team with the firm objective of being considered again for the Colombian national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the Copa America.
