Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is the sensation of the 2022-23 season. Thanks to his great goals and assists with Napoli, he is the talk of the town and the biggest clubs in Europe, such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, and Bayern Munich, are already asking about his services for the next season. His outstanding performances have not only made him known worldwide but have also led fans of the Serie A team to start naming their newborns after the Georgian forward.
The first case occurred in the past few days. Exactly on March 31, at Santa Patrizia Clinic, Daniele Khvicha, son of Armando and Clara, was born. Interestingly, the father was named like this because of the influence of Diego Maradona and now he has given his son the first name of the fashionable football player.
"It's all true, we named him Daniele Khvicha. We only put the comma after Daniele, so the real name is Daniele, Khvicha. We made this decision because of everything that happened to Napoli this year," the father said in an interview with Spazio Napoli.
Armando revealed that his love for Napoli and being so amazed by Khvicha's performances led him to make this decision. However, he made it clear that everything was discussed with his partner, who is also a faithful supporter of the almost Serie A champion.
"I'm a big fan of Napoli and, as you can see from my name, my father was too. I was born in 1986 and my parents named me Diego Armando Maradona. It's a highly shared choice. I think if we hadn't lived a year like this, with such a wonderful football player, he would have been named Daniele only," he said.
Getting to know Khvicha, a great longing
"It's my little dream, like seeing Napoli win this year. So if we can meet the great protagonist of this season, it would be the icing on the cake. And I have another dream: I hope that my father, who is no longer with us, can see through Daniele's eyes the celebration for this Napoli," he emphasized.
