While everything was smiles at Real Madrid, a news has generated concern among fans after the injuries of two starting players who were key in the victory against Liverpool in the Champions League.
First, David Alaba was one of the players who couldn't complete the 90 minutes due to injury. He was substituted in the first half for Nacho to enter as left back. Now, Real Madrid has revealed in the medical report that the Austrian suffered a "muscle injury in the distal third of the right biceps femoris".
This means that the former Bayern Munich player will be out for 1 month and will miss the following matches against Atletico Madrid, Barcelona (Copa del Rey), Real Betis, Espanyol, Liverpool, Barcelona (LaLiga), and Real Valladolid.
On the other hand, another player who suffered an injury was Rodrygo. The Brazilian ended the match against Liverpool feeling discomfort and the medical report revealed that he has an "injury in the left piriformis muscle".
Unlike David Alaba, Rodrygo will be out for 10 days. He will miss the matches against Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, but there is hope that his recovery will be optimal and he can make it to the Copa del Rey classic.
David Alaba and Rodrygo are absentees for Real Madrid.
When does Real Madrid play?
The next match of Real Madrid will be against Atletico Madrid in LaLiga Santander. The match will be played on Saturday, February 25 at 12:30 PM Peruvian time.
