Carlo Ancelotti announced the arrival of the player as a reinforcement in the next transfer market
The Real Madrid signed the left back from Rayo Vallecano Fran García, who will join the team at the end of the season, confirmed the Rayo president, Raúl Martín Presa, and the technical director Carlo Ancelotti.
"We have reached an agreement with Real Madrid, Fran García will go at the end of the year," said Martín Presa, in statements to the Cope network.
"He is growing and I think he can contribute to Real Madrid," added Presa, although neither of the two teams has made any official announcement.
Letting the player continue to progress at Rayo has been one of the arguments of the white team not to try to acquire the services of the young right back already, despite Ferland Mendy's injury in that position.
"We evaluated two things, first that Mendy's injury could recover fairly quickly and that it is good for him (García) to continue at Rayo to progress and increase his experience," Ancelotti said in a press conference.
Presa explained that Real Madrid's intervention prevented García from signing for Bayer Leverkusen in the recently closed transfer window.
García, 23, was trained in the Real Madrid academy before being loaned to Rayo in 2020, who completed his transfer the following year, although Real Madrid retained 50% of his rights. AFP
