Real Madrid drew 0-0 against Real Sociedad at Santiago Bernabeu and is now five points behind Barcelona in the fight for the current LaLiga Santander. The coach of the 'Galacticos', Carlo Ancelotti, analyzed the match in a press conference and highlighted that he is "satisfied" with the performance of his team during the ninety minutes, despite not being able to achieve the desired result.

The 'Casa Blanca' dominated the game and had several chances to score the winning goal, but ran into a wall called Álex Remiro. The goalkeeper made great saves to the shots of Rodrygo, Vinicius, and Benzema. Finally, Real Sociedad obtained a great result at Santiago Bernabeu and distanced themselves from the 'Barca'.

"It's a shame. We played very well, we deserved to win. We had a complete match, we just lacked scoring, we were close. It's a draw and I'm satisfied because the team played very well," said Carlo Ancelotti in a press conference. "We pushed for 90 minutes at full intensity. And we were very close to winning," he added.

Regarding the changes he made in the match against Real Sociedad, the 63-year-old coach commented: "In the end, Asensio took Valverde's place as an interior with Rodrygo playing on the wing or on the inside. It was difficult to make changes because no one deserved to come off the field. I saw the team playing well on the field and didn't want to change the dynamics. I'm satisfied."

Carlo Ancelotti knows that the situation has become complicated, but he believes that there is still a long way to go in LaLiga. "We are five points behind, we have to run. Barcelona is doing very well, but there is still a lot of time. January has been tough, but the team has grown and will start to improve," concluded the Italian DT.
