Scandal at year-end for Pumas player Dani Alves in Barcelona
Scandal at year-end is what the Pumas player, Dani Alves, is going through, who was accused by a woman in Barcelona of sexual assault at a nightclub in the city of Spain.
The ABC newspaper reported that the woman coincided with the World Cup player at Qatar 2022 with the Brazilian national team, on the night of December 30 at a club, the alleged victim indicated that the 39-year-old player inserted his hand under her underwear without her consent.
According to the source, the woman notified the security personnel of the place, who immediately activated the municipality's protocol against sexual assaults and harassment in private nighttime leisure spaces.
Members of the Mossos d'Esquadra - the autonomous police of Catalonia - would have come to the place to take the woman's statement, although by then, the UNAM player had already left the place.
The same newspaper obtained statements from Dani Alves' environment, who denied the accusations, warning that "nothing happened" and that the midfielder spent "a short time" inside the nightclub.
What will happen to Dani Alves and Pumas?
The next Liga MX tournament starts in a week, practically all the teams are fine-tuning details for their debut, and at Pumas it is no exception; however, Dani Alves has not appeared at La Cantera to join the coaching staff of Rafa Puente, who has mentioned that he counts on the Brazilian, with a valid contract, for the next tournament.
Alves has not commented on the matter, and it seems to be a matter of time before his departure from the club is confirmed; either to sign with another institution or to announce his retirement from the field.
