Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha joins Wolverhampton
The 23-year-old forward joins the English club on loan with a purchase option.
Spanish club Atlético de Madrid announced on Sunday that Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha will play on loan at Wolverhampton, the current last-placed team in the Premier League.
Cunha, 23, had joined the Spanish team in 2021 from Hertha Berlin for 26 million euros, but failed to establish himself at Atlético.
Last season he scored seven goals for the Madrid club, but in the current season he had not yet scored.
"Atlético de Madrid wishes Matheus Cunha the best of success in this new professional stage, whose loan agreement is conditional on the resolution of some final details of the player's documentation," concludes Atlético's statement. AFP
