Cumbayá FC and Barcelona drew 1-1.

Closed 1-1 tie between Cumbaya FC and Barcelona at El Batán Colossus, for the 15th round of the Ecuador - LigaPro 2022 tournament.

With a penalty goal by Cristian Penilla, the visiting team took the lead at the beginning of the second half, however, at the 67th minute of that half, Jeison Mina scored an own goal to equalize for the home team.

Cumbaya FC striker Carlos Monges wasted the opportunity to take the lead after missing a penalty in the 79th minute of the second half.

Leonel Quiñónez was the standout player of the match. The Barcelona defender was important in clearing 2 balls outside the danger area.

Leandro Basan was also influential. The Cumbaya FC forward shot at the opposite goal 3 times.

Barcelona midfielder Leonai Souza dribbled past Cumbaya FC midfielder Maikel Valencia and nutmegged him at the 89th minute of the second half.

The match played between both teams was marked by dirty play. There were 2 bookings: Teodoro Paredes and Darwin Suárez. Kener Arce was shown a straight red card in the 92nd minute of the second half.
