Coincidences happen every day. Various TV and streaming media outlets were in charge of broadcasting all the details of the 2022 Ballon d'Or ceremony. One of them was Ibai Llanos, who enjoyed the broadcasting rights and did it through his Twitch account. The popular 'streamer' had a funny encounter with Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid.

During a live link with a reporter, the YouTuber and esports presenter imagined that he would be communicating live with Ronaldo; however, it was actually the president of Real Madrid who was on the other side of the screen. Somewhat embarrassed, Ibai could only say, "What do you mean he wants to greet me? No, no, it was Ronaldo, Víctor. No, not the president, it was Ronaldo."

If the link had some initial flaws, the person in charge of establishing the connection revealed what Florentino had said. "You haven't been to the new Bernabéu yet! If you're just a pretend Madrid fan! Florentino just told you," he commented jokingly.

The Real Madrid forward was crowned the best player in the world on Monday after receiving the Ballon d'Or at the age of 35, an award given by France Football magazine since 1956, which he received from his compatriot Zinedine Zidane.

The Real Madrid forward, who had an exceptional season culminating in victories in the Spanish league and the Champions League, succeeds Argentine Lionel Messi in the record books, who won his seventh Ballon d'Or last season but was not among the candidates this time.

Benzema becomes the first Frenchman to win the Ballon d'Or since Zinedine Zidane in 1998, and joins Raymond Kopa, Michel Platini, and Jean-Pierre Papin as the fifth French winner.
