Cristiano Ronaldo reached 700 goals in his professional career last week. The 'Commander' gave Manchester United a victory over Everton by scoring the 2-1, however, it was not until this Sunday that he received recognition that will always remain in his memory as it was presented by his 'father' Alex Ferguson.

Before the match against Newcastle, the former coach of the 'Red Devils' entered the Old Trafford field and was reunited with the Portuguese forward. Both hugged each other amid ovation from the fans in the stadium and the players.

Luego, Ferguson le dio el plato recordatorio a su expupilo. El video se volvió viral en las redes sociales y los fanáticos de Manchester United recordaron la época de oro de su club cuando ‘The Boss’ se encontraba en la dirección técnica.

It is worth mentioning that Cristiano Ronaldo was coached by Alex Ferguson during his first spell at Manchester United (2003-2004 to 2008-2009). During that time, the English team won three Premier League titles and also achieved glory by winning the UEFA Champions League (2008) and the Club World Cup.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Alex Ferguson's most beautiful memory

The Portuguese forward recounted the good gesture that Alex Ferguson had with him. "I remember when my father was in the hospital (2005), and I was very emotional, very down, and I spoke to him (Sir Alex) and he told me: 'Cristiano, it doesn't matter, go with him, 2-3 days'. And we had tough matches and I was a key player at that time. He said to me: 'It will be difficult because we have tough matches, but I understand your situation and I release you to go see your father'," he declared to Inside View on the United's official channel.

"For me, this is the most important thing, beyond winning the Champions League, Premier League, or Cups. I really appreciate it because he always fulfilled everything he told me," added the player in that interview in 2021.
