Un nuevo capítulo en la polémica entre Vinícius Jr. and the "El Chiringuito" program began this Tuesday, after journalist Iñaki Angulo revealed that the Real Madrid forward was threatened not to publish a video with a message against racism days before playing the match against Atlético de Madrid, for the last matchday of LaLiga.
"If you release the video, we will destroy you on the program," would have been the expression directed towards the player from the well-known space according to Angulo, who in his YouTube channel claimed to have evidence of the accusation.
Shortly after, journalist Matteus Silva from the Brazilian newspaper O Globo stated that he contacted the player's family in his home country and was able to confirm the information coming from Spain.

"Real Madrid player Vinícius Jr. was threatened by members of the Spanish program" El Chiringuito de Jugones "to pressure him not to publish a video against racism after associating his image with that of a monkey dancing for his celebrations," the communicator stated through social networks.
Controversy between Vinícius Jr. and "El Chiringuito"
The controversy erupted after, in one of the editions of "El Chiringuito" prior to the Madrid derby, player agent Pedro Bravo expressed himself in the following terms about Vinícius Jr.'s celebrations for scoring a goal: "If you want to dance samba, go to the sambadrome in Brazil. Here, what you have to do is respect your fellow professionals and stop acting like a monkey."
Faced with a wave of criticism, both Bravo and Josep Pedrerol, the main presenter of the program, apologized for what happened. Despite everything, Real Madrid issued a statement supporting 'Vini', while the attacker himself shared the aforementioned video to defend his celebrations and reject discriminatory comments.

Regarding the accusations of having threatened Vinícius Jr. to prevent the dissemination of the recording, Pedrerol denied having done so and indicated that he is preparing "a criminal complaint" against whoever accused him of having "mafia-like attitudes."
"We are preparing a criminal complaint for those who have said that we have mafia-like attitudes. We will go all the way, it is good that we go to court for this. This program makes mistakes or not, but it never threatens, we will demonstrate that we have not threatened Vinícius," said the journalist, without directly mentioning Iñaki Angulo.
