The long-awaited revenge by FC Barcelona did not arrive
The long-awaited revenge by FC Barcelona did not arrive. This Tuesday, for the second matchday of Group C in the Champions League 2022-23, the azulgrana club lost 2-0 against Bayern Munich, a result that extends their bad streak of five consecutive defeats against the Bavarians in the competition.
One of the most dissatisfied with the result was coach Xavi Hernández, who considered that his team was better than the German side to the point that, in his opinion, they dominated and subdued them.
"I'm angry, I don't like losing. Today I think we have been better than Bayern. From my position, I think we have dominated them, we have subjected them. We have created many very clear chances to take the lead in the scoreline and that would have changed the game," said the coach in a press conference.

Despite everything, the coach acknowledged that his team paid the consequences for not being able to convert the chances created. "At this level, everything is very tight and you end up paying for these mistakes. It's a tough lesson to learn," he added.
The stumble leaves FC Barcelona in second place in their group with three points, three less than leaders Bayern Munich. Inter Milan, the next opponent for 'Barça', is in third position, also with three points, but with a worse goal difference than the Catalans.
