Aubameyang, a month off due to thieves [VIDEO]

Miercoles 31 de Agosto del 2022

The English press points out this Wednesday that the assault on Aubameyang's house and his family has resulted in the footballer's broken jaw, and he will not play in the coming weeks.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been the protagonist of the headlines in recent hours. Not of the sports ones, but of the police ones. And it is that last Monday, the forward of Barcelona Football Club and his family were victims of a violent robbery at their home in Castelldefels (Barcelona). The first information stated that the African player lost a lot in the belongings that the thieves took. But that was not the only thing that affected him. According to the English press, 'Auba' ended up with a fractured jaw and will be out of the field for a month.

Tal como reporta 'The Athletic', once the thieves were able to access the inside of the house they threatened and hit the football player and his partner to open the safe, from which they took valuable objects, so it was a consummated violent robbery, according to the source.

It was precisely that blow that would have ended up breaking his jaw. Pending confirmation from Barcelona, Aubameyang would be out for the next four weeks. It would also compromise his signing for the Premier League's Chelsea.

According to El País and confirmed to Efe by sources close to the case, the violent assault occurred around one o'clock in the morning this Monday, August 29, after which the robbers would have fled the scene in a white Audi car.

Aubameyang, a recurring case

This is the second robbery this summer at Aubameyang's house, as thieves also entered his home weeks ago, according to sources close to the case reported to Efe. On that occasion, there was no one in the football player's house when the thieves entered, according to El Periódico.

The Mossos d'Esquadra have opened an investigation to try to identify, locate, and arrest the perpetrators of the violent robbery that occurred this past morning. For its part, FC Barcelona has provided assistance and support to the football player, who is well, and his family, according to sources close to the case.

In Aubameyang's house, there was also a 21-year-old compatriot of his, Babanzila Meshak, who lives in the residence and has also suffered the assault, so around six in the morning his representative called the Terrassa football club, where he plays, to notify that he would not go to training because he was scared by what happened, as explained to Rac-1 by its sports director, Miquel Ezequiel.
