The cameras capture the applause and point to Marcelo Flores, who entered in place of Samuel Obeng to make his official debut with the colors of his new team.

The recently purchased Real Oviedo by the Pachuca Group of Jesús Martínez, started their adventure in the Spanish Second Division with the debut of another Mexican: Daniel Aceves. The match took place at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium and it was against none other than FC Andorra, a club owned by Gerard Piqué, FC Barcelona player.

Despite having high expectations for the two Mexican footballers, luck was not on their side. The 'Tricolores' managed to win by the minimum difference against the 'Azules' with a late goal from Pau Casadesus, thus adding their first three points in their first league match.

The journey of Marcelo Flores

The Mexican, a regular in the Under-19 and Under-20 national teams, made his debut with the senior team in late 2021 and now joins Real Oviedo after 'gunner' coach, Spanish Mikel Arteta, did not include him in the Arsenal squad for the preseason with the first team.

The Mexican football prodigy arrived after playing 31 matches with Arsenal U18 and another 12 with the U21 team, and although he was called up by Arteta for a first-team match against Crystal Palace, he did not make his debut.

His arrival was the seventh to be completed this summer in the blue club, the eighth if Borja Sánchez's renewal is taken into account, and it constitutes an exceptional reinforcement for an attack already completed after the continuity of the homegrown player and the signing of Sergi Enrich for the forward.
