FC Barcelona wants to reclaim its prominence among the European giants and has reinforced itself with the Danish center-back, who arrives from Chelsea.

Barcelona announced on Monday, July 4th the signing of Danish footballer Andreas Christensen for the next four seasons, just hours after confirming the arrival of midfielder Franck Kessié.

The Blaugrana team and Andreas Christensen "have reached an agreement for the player's incorporation, after the footballer has finished his contract with Chelsea FC," the club detailed in an official statement.

Like Franck Kessié, former AC Milan player, the Danish center-back "will sign a contract until June 30, 2026, and will have a release clause of 500 million euros (523 million dollars)."

The Danish national team defender is a reinforcement for the Catalan defense, as Christensen is a player who adapts to the characteristics of the Culé game due to his technical ability with the ball.

It is worth noting that, in the just-ended season, Andreas played 34 games with Chelsea, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
