Clément Lenglet started for Barcelona that on Wednesday was thrashed 3-0 by Bayern Munich. The result sent Xavi Hernandez's team to the Europa League round of 16.
After the match, there was an image of Clément Lenglet that did not please the Barcelona fans at all. It showed him laughing with Polish forward Robert Lewandowski just seconds after being eliminated from the Champions League in the group stage.
Lenglet was seen more than cheerful, despite being eliminated from the European Cup with Barcelona. That is why he received criticism on social media, as well as in the Spanish program El Chiringuito.

"If I were a club executive, he wouldn't come back on the plane with me. He can walk back. I won't say anything else because it will cost me later. These are things that cannot happen. This is not acceptable," said journalist Jota Jordi.
This premature elimination is unworthy of the club's status as a five-time Champions League winner, accustomed to the tournament's later stages, but in a constant crisis for the past two years.
Barcelona has always reached the Champions League round of 16 since the 2003-2004 season, when they did not qualify for the tournament after finishing 6th in the league.
Worse still, it has been over 20 years since Barcelona was eliminated in the group stage. The last time was in the 2000-2001 season: the team finished third in Group H behind AC Milan and Leeds.
Out of the 30 editions since the first time Barcelona lifted the trophy in 1992, the club has participated in 27 and has reached the round of 16 on 24 occasions (eliminated in the group stage in 1997-1998, 1998-1999, and 2000-2001).
