Carlos Torres Garcés questioned Emelec coach, Ismael Rescalvo, after four years of managing the blue team.
The national coach, who won the national title with Emelec in 1994, said that during this period, the Spanish coach did not develop any players who stood out: "Emelec does not have a player who, in four years, he has helped to get into the national team. There is no player for the World Cup."
He pointed out that he managed Emelec three times, "and when the results didn't come, I had to leave."
In these four years, Emelec has not been able to win the national title in LigaPro. In 2021, they reached the final but lost to Independiente del Valle.
"If he were an honest person, he would say that he hasn't been able to achieve what he promised and would step aside. Emelec has been harmed in these four years," said the coach.
The future of Rescalvo is unknown. The Spanish coach still has a valid contract with Emelec.
