Technical University defeats Independiente del Valle

In their visit to Banco Guayaquil, Technical University defeated Independiente del Valle 1-0, for the 13th round of the Ecuador - LigaPro Betcris 2022 tournament. The visiting team scored the only goal of the match at the 43rd minute of the second half, through Edison Carcelén. After receiving a pass from Enson Rodríguez, the defender connected a header that went into the right post of the goalkeeper.

Independiente del Valle shot the ball at the goal many more times than their rival (20 shots), but it was not enough to turn the result around and the visiting team took the victory.

The standout player of the match was Walter Chávez. The Technical University goalkeeper had a great performance against Independiente del Valle, as he made 5 saves.

On the other hand, Edison Carcelén was key. The Technical University defender was important as he scored 1 goal and cleared 3 dangerous balls.
