The Ecuadorian National Team started off on the right foot in the XII South American ODESUR Games 2022, as they were able to come back and victory over Colombia with a resounding 3-2 on this first day.

And one of those who could participate in this victory was Sporting Cristal's footballer, Juan Sánchez, who even scored a real golazo.
The action took place in the 61st minute, when through a cross, the 19-year-old forward made an incredible jump to connect the header that would beat the Colombian goalkeeper, putting the score at 2-2.
This goal allowed Jimmy Bran's team to make a comeback in the game and, 10 minutes later, the Ecuadorians turned the score around through Jean Pierre Arroyo.
With the addition of these three points, Ecuador's national team is the leader of Group B, and now they will have to focus on their next match against Chile next Thursday, October 6th.
