The performance of referee Marlon Vera harmed them, according to the defender. "I felt like we were robbed in the face, that they made fun of our work and what we do every day here (at the training ground). This is not the first time they have done this to Liga", the center-back said in a press conference.
Guerra described some of Vera's yellow cards as "ridiculous", like the one he showed to him: "It is impossible to fight back like this, with people who believe they have power in football. I am surprised because I had never experienced something like this before; it is bad for Ecuadorian football."
