Gonzalo Vargas, agent of Ecuadorian player Ayrton Preciado, revealed on Tuesday that the initial injury suffered by the player from Santos Laguna in Mexico was a fractured tibia. In fact, the former Emelec player had to undergo several injections to be able to play and that ended up further damaging him.
"The original injury was a stress fracture in the tibia, he had to undergo several injections to play and that's why he ended up getting injured," Vargas said during an interview with Huancavilca radio.
In addition, the intermediary adds that the injury was in both legs. "He had injuries in both of his tibias, but he had the support of everyone and coach (Guillermo) Almada. He has the conditions to show why he was Santos' most expensive signing," he concluded.
In 2018, Santos Laguna paid five million dollars to take the then Emelec star. (D)
