The Coach Darío Tempesta Seeks a More Balanced Aucas
The Aucas coach, Darío Tempesta, is looking for a more balanced team between defense and attack for this season. The eastern team was the most effective in the last tournament, but at the same time, they had the most problems in the attack, a situation that the strategist wants to fix for the new competition.
"We had a good attack, but we had defensive issues. Despite that, we had a good tournament," said Tempesta, referring to the 33 goals scored by his team in 15 games, a performance that contrasts with the 32 goals conceded.
"With the board, we evaluated what our tournament was. We were two different teams, one that attacked and scored, but we couldn't balance that attack with defensive work. That's why we tried to incorporate players according to the needs and possibilities for the defensive area, which we have changed, apart from Cuero, all the players," explained the Argentine strategist.

For this new season, Aucas is "better equipped and more balanced. It is more focused on a style of play. We see that the team has more height and a more correct way of playing according to what we are looking for in the attack," said Tempesta.
Aucas made 11 signings for this season, "the board made a major effort in terms of signings, they brought the requested players at the right time, which has helped us a lot in our work," said the head coach of the eastern team.
As for objectives, Tempesta mentioned aiming for a place in the Copa Libertadores. That is the main objective because we have formed a squad that can fit our style of play very well.
