A Discipline Commission will analyze the reports and management of El Nacional's board in the 2020 period

After widespread rejection from members during the two-day session, which was suspended on Saturday due to "technical failures" and resumed on Monday, a Discipline Commission will be the one to analyze the reports and management of El Nacional's board in the 2020 period.

Criticisms of ten out of twelve club commission reports were the main point during the two days of the assembly, which, after failing the financial and management details in the first part, the club's membership continued with their position on Monday to reject the reports on budget and activities for 2021; as well as showing disagreement with the integration of the audit and pro-stadium commissions.

The club's relegation to Serie B was the main trigger for constant requests from members for the removal of the board, which led the assembly to decide on the continuity of Lucia Vallecilla and her board, which will be determined in the next 30 days, with the result to be announced on March 3 in an extraordinary assembly.

With the board "under observation", the assembly appointed the Discipline Commission, in accordance with the club's member assembly regulations, which is composed of Nelson Narváez, Geovanny Pozo, and Ana Ramos, who must submit their report at the extraordinary assembly.

"This is the regulatory part, and having a complaint filed, compliance with due process will be carried out as established by the statutes and supported by the Constitution. In this sense, the Commission must present its report with the arguments of the case," said Franklin Acosta, delegate of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces and director of the assembly.

"Differences of opinion have been heard, but we have sought to democratically reach agreements and consensus, respecting the club's issues, without passion or revenge. Whatever needs to come out of the analysis and studies that are done should be the best for the club, that should be the triumph of this assembly," Acosta pointed out. (D)
