Bryan Cuco Angulo could return to Ecuadorian soccer in the coming hours if that is what Cruz Azul from Mexico and the Guayaquil forward himself decide. This Tuesday, he hinted at his future with a post on Instagram.
It was Emelec's president, Nassib Neme, who revealed the possibility of Cuco returning to the club where he became a top scorer and contributed greatly to winning the 2017 Ecuadorian championship.
"We are waiting for Bryan Angulo, the decision lies with the player and the Mexican team. If it's not possible by tomorrow (Tuesday, January 26th), we have another option for the forward," said Neme on Monday night in an interview with DirecTV.
Angulo, on his part, posted a picture of himself in February 2018 dressed in the Emelec uniform celebrating a goal in a match against El Nacional in Quito on Instagram stories. He added an emoji on top of the image.
Sources involved in the negotiation have confirmed to EL UNIVERSO that the agreement between the two parties (Cruz Azul and the player's representative) must be finalized by Tuesday at the latest for Cuco to sign a one-season loan contract with Emelec, as he has already been registered by the Liga MX team for the Clausura-2021 tournament.
