Colombia searches for a replacement for Carlos Queiroz
In Colombia, after the double date of World Cup Qualifiers, all they talk about is a possible replacement for Carlos Queiroz.
The Colombian team suffered two heavy defeats in matchdays 3 and 4 against Uruguay (3-0) in Barranquilla and 6-1 against Ecuador in Quito.
These results could put an end to Queiroz's era as Colombia's coach. The Portuguese coach, former Real Madrid coach, arrived in 2019 and has yet to convince after successful years with José Pekerman.
The names that are being mentioned in Colombia are mainly Argentine: Marcelo Gallardo, Miguel Ángel Russo, Daniel Passarella, and even Ricardo Gareca himself.
What is certain is that, as of November 20th, the departure of Carlos Queiroz from the national team is still not official, although it is an open secret in Colombia.
Although they appear on Colombia's radar, there are currently no possibilities of Miguel Ángel Russo or Marcelo Gallardo replacing Carlos Queiroz. In the last hours, Daniel Passarella was offered, and he is very eager to return to coaching.
