On Friday, November 6th, the sixteenth stage of La Vuelta a España will take place, covering a distance of 162 km between Salamanca and Ciudad Rodrigo.
The stage will have two climbs: the first one in the El Portillo port (13.8 kilometers at an average of 4.4%) and the final one in El Robledo (11.7 kilometers at an average of 3.8%).
The winner of Thursday's stage was Jasper Philipsen (UAE Emirates).
The leader Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) finished the stage in 50th place and the Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz (Ineos Grenadiers) in 65th place.
The fight for the red jersey maintains the same distances taken in the time trial stage: Roglic continues to lead La Vuelta with a time of 60 hours 16 minutes 2 seconds, followed by the Ecuadorian from Ineos Grenadiers by 39 seconds, and in third place the British Carthy (EF Pro Cycling) by 47 seconds.
