Orense SC reacted this Sunday and defeated Olmedo 2-1 at the 9 de Mayo stadium in the city of Machala, with which the banana team signed their second victory in the 2020 LigaPro Serie A campaign.
Eight defeats, nine draws, and two wins still keep them in the relegation zone (second-to-last), along with Deportivo Cuenca, both with 15 points in 19 matches.
With today's comeback, the team led by Argentine Patricio Lara celebrates their first success in phase 2 of the tournament and climbs to the middle of the table (eighth provisional) with the same five points as Delfín.
Orense was not intimidated by Olmedo, who took the lead with a goal scored by Willian Cevallos in the 52nd minute. The Cyclone from Riobamba had come from an important victory (2-1) against Independiente del Valle in the previous matchday.
The goals from former Barcelona SC player Éder Cetre (65 min) and Uruguayan Martín Alaniz (79 min) sealed Orense's comeback.
