The Mexican team Atlas announced the dismissal of Rafael Puente as head coach of the first team, and several names are already being mentioned to take over the technical command, including Pablo Repetto, the current coach of Liga de Quito.
In Mexico, they talk about the Uruguayan as an option to coach the team, which has Ecuadorian Renato Ibarra on its roster.
Among the first names that appeared to replace Puente are the Argentinians Pablo Lavallén and Hernán Cristante, to which Repetto has been added, who would have been contacted by the Guadalajara leadership, according to Mexican media.
According to reports, Atlas' interest is to find an experienced strategist who does not currently coach in Mexico, a requirement that fits Repetto.
- 'Uncertainty grows about Gaibor's future,' says the Argentine press.
Lavallén is known by the Zorros (Atlas) for his time as a player, and Cristante is close to the group's environment that manages the club from Guadalajara.
In the search for the new coach, Atlas announced that "interim coach Rubén Duarte will take charge of the team for the match of round four against Toluca, to be held next Thursday at the Estadio Jalisco."

Atlas' last game was a draw (1-1) against Atlético de San Luis on Sunday, which means that Puente's stay as coach in this tournament lasted only three matches.
Puente's numbers with Atlas are poor, with 1 win, 1 draw, and 7 losses in 9 matches since his arrival in January of this year.
Among the options for the new coach of Atlas, Lavallén and Cristante are currently without a team, and Repetto has a contract with Liga de Quito until the end of this season, and although an extension of the contract has been discussed, it is something that has not yet been finalized. (D)
