Ecuadorian weightlifters will compete this weekend at the Pan American Cup, online.

Between July 18 and 19, the weightlifting team of Ecuador will participate in the Pan American Cup of this sport, which will take place online and will have Colombia as its main venue.

According to the competition schedule provided by the organization, the ladies will perform on the first day, starting at 10:00 in the 49 and 55-kilogram divisions.

At 12:00, the female weightlifters from the 59 and 64-kilogram divisions will participate; at 14:00, those in the 71-kilogram division will take action; and at 16:00, those in the 76 and 81-kilogram divisions will take action; the day will end with the athletes corresponding to the weights of 87 kilograms and more than 87 kilograms.

On the other hand, the men are scheduled to compete on Sunday, starting at 10:00, with the weightlifters from the 61 and 67-kilogram divisions; then, at 12:00, the athletes belonging to the 73 and 81-kilogram divisions will perform; at 14:00, those from the 89 and 96-kilogram divisions will take action; and from 16:00, those from the 102, 109, and more than 109-kilogram divisions will compete.

Luis Zambrano, president of the Ecuadorian Weightlifting Federation, stated that this tournament is part of the competition calendar for the current season and Ecuador will be represented by twelve athletes, six ladies, and six gentlemen.

Mercedes Campoverde, in the 49-kilogram division
Alexandra Escobar, in the 59 kg division
Angie Palacios, in the 71 kg division
Neysi Dajome, in the 76 kg division
Tamara Salazar, in the 87 kg division
Liseth Ayoví, in the more than 87-kilogram division

The men who will compete are:
Cristhian Zurita, in the 61-kilogram division
Andy Chávez, in the 61 kg division
Jair Reyes, in the 67 kg division
Neyser Greffa, in the 83 kg division
Wilmer Contreras, in the 96 kg division
