President of Sol de América Confirms Interest from US Clubs
President of Sol de América, Miguel Figueredo, confirmed on Friday in conversations with Fútbol a lo Grande on radio Monumental that defenders Iván Villalba and Milciades Portillo are being scouted by clubs in the United States.
In the previous transfer window, the latter was in Olimpia's orbit, but now it is the former who has a greater chance of returning to international football after his stints in Ecuador and Uruguay.
When asked about this, Villalba stated that future negotiations will be entirely in the hands of the Sol de América president. "The president is the one handling that, I just focus on my work, but it fills me with pride that they remember me," he said.
The defender hopes to complete the transfer, although he is aware that it is not the right time to discuss the matter due to the coronavirus pandemic that has paralyzed the world of football.
TASKS. Like all players in the First Division clubs, the defender does what he can to maintain his physical condition. "I try to be resourceful, I have a backyard at home and I try to make the most of the limited space," he concluded.
