The Ecuadorian young forward Leonardo Campana revealed this Wednesday that two weeks ago he tested positive for COVID-19, while assuring that he is healthy.

"Two weeks ago I tested positive for COVID-19 but today, thanks to God, I am doing very well," said the player from Wolverhampton of the English Premier League in three Instagram stories.

Campana's (19 years old) is the first revealed case of a national footballer who contracted the virus.

"I was born in a country where solidarity is evident in very difficult moments like this one. I know these are very difficult times but together we can overcome them. You can count on my support and financial contribution through the Campana Foundation," added the Ecuadorian international, making his family's collaboration available to the most vulnerable people.
