Sporting Cristal begins its participation in the second qualifying phase of the Copa Libertadores 2020 by visiting Barcelona de Guayaquil on Thursday, February 6 (7:30 p.m.) and has presented updates in the travel list.

In the roster, the standout name is Ray Sandoval, who had felt discomfort in his right knee after the presentation match in the 'Tarde Celeste', which is why they had not included him in the following friendly matches and in the start of the Liga 1 against UTC in Cajamarca. Even though it was suggested that he could be out for a few months, the team insisted on waiting for more medical evaluations to obtain results that would provide greater knowledge about the situation of the attacker.

Although Sandoval will travel, his inclusion in the list for the match will depend on receiving medical clearance. Likewise, Christofer Gonzales, who was injured in Cajamarca after the game against UTC, has not been selected for the mission in Guayaquil.

The other players included by Manuel Barreto are the footballers who participated in the 2020 Pre-Olympic with the Peruvian Under-23 National Team: Gianfranco Chávez, Renato Solís, Kevin Sandoval, and Christopher Olivares. The exceptional case is that of the forward, who, despite appearing on the list, will not travel to Ecuador.
