In an underdeveloped country, millions of obstacles are heard when a work or event is about to crystallize, and as an example, the bicentennial of the independence of Guayaquil, our always standard-bearer in all activities, an example of greatness, which despite receiving devastating blows, remains on top without being dominated neither today nor tomorrow nor ever.
In our soccer, the new coach of the National Team is about to arrive, the Dutchman Jordi Cruyff (photo) is mentioned, who at the age of 45 has been a protagonist as a player, sports manager, and today evangelizing soccer as a coach.
He is a person who is natural in his development, with broad European culture, he reaches the fans because of his humility, receptive in his explanations both on the chalkboard and on the field with his disciples; he is a character who does not seek luck elements, but rather achieve positive results.
Why so many dark clouds against him, why so many enraged negative comments, why so many wrong disagreements, why hundreds of adverse criticisms of his person/work if we have not yet observed any practice with his new players.
If we fail in the qualifiers, it is not his responsibility. A national team requires in modern/overwhelming soccer, the preparatory/generic periods, in search of physical/technical/emotional form, and the fine-tuning of at least six months alternating with games and facing prestigious rivals, not carbon paper.
If there is a failure, we hope it is not so, the blame and the sentence must be for the leaders who have shown incompetence.
No more words... (O)
