The Ecuadorian midfielder Jairo Vélez, who had a memorable spell at San Martín in 2016 and 2017, has become the new reinforcement of César Vallejo in Trujillo for the upcoming season of Liga 1.

After leaving San Martín, Vélez, who started at River Ecuador, played for Atlante and Cafetaleros in Mexico.
