The Independiente del Valle team visited the Carondelet Palace to receive recognition
The Independiente del Valle team, champion of the 2019 Copa Sudamericana after defeating Colón de Santa Fe (3-1), visited the Carondelet Palace to receive recognition from the President of the Republic, Lenín Moreno.

High-level club officials such as Franklin Tello (president) and Michel Deller (founder) were present at the event.

According to decree 929, President Lenín Moreno awarded the National Order of Merit medal to all members of the Sangolquí club.

According to the presidential mandate, "the Order National of Merit in the rank of officer is conferred upon the flag of the Independent High Performance Specialized Club of the Valley".
