After 13 days of his arrest for driving under the influence, the defense of Billy Arce, left winger of Barcelona SC, requested a judge of criminal guarantees of Guayas to fulfill his sentence in a private clinic for his respective care.

Arce was arrested in the northern part of Guayaquil, on October 4th, around midnight, driving a car with polarized windows and no license plates; in the company of a model.

The argument of the law firm defending Arce, sentenced to 30 days (20 in prison and 10 of community service), is that he suffers from anxiety crisis and must be treated by medical specialists.

About this issue, José Francisco Cevallos, president of Barcelona SC, commented in an interview with radio La Redonda: "We are very interested in the human being, we have gone to visit Billy Arce and we know that we have the arguments so that the club is not harmed in this case."

Arce arrived at the club in the second semester of this year, after being separated from Emelec for acts of indiscipline. (D)
