Facundo Pellistri, a soccer player from the Uruguayan National Team, spoke at a press conference in Barranquilla about how they are preparing to play against Colombia this Thursday, how they will face the heat, and how they will approach the game.
"We have been here for days to acclimatize to the heat, which will be the same for both sides. We have to be prepared, well hydrated, and ready for what's coming," said Pellistri about the high temperatures expected for the game time, this Thursday, at 15:30 in Colombia.
The Manchester United player also talked about Marcelo Bielsa's game plan: "Bielsa's strongest idea is high-intensity, high pressing, having the team close together, appearing as a compact team from the outside, eager to press and play on the same level on any field and against any opponent," he expressed.
The winger was asked about how the absences in the Colombian defense affect Uruguay's approach to the game, and he replied that although they heard about the players who couldn't be part of the squad, the home team still "has great players, and whoever plays will do it well (...) We're not so focused on that, we're more focused on the work we have to do, and whoever has to play for Colombia will be seen, but we're focused on our work," added Pellistri.
