On June 29, "Copa vacía", the song that brings together Shakira and Manuel Turizo, was released worldwide; and it refers to the scandalous breakup of the Barranquilla singer with former footballer Gerard Piqué.
To everyone's surprise, one month later, on July 29, the popular song was heard at the celebration of the Kings League final four at the Círculo Metropolitano stadium in Madrid.
The event, conceived by streamer Ibai Llanos in partnership with Kosmos, the sports event production company owned by Shakira's ex-partner Gerard Piqué; added musical guests to the dispute of the matches. And there was Manuel Turizo himself performing the song "Copa vacía" a capella.
After leaving a long space for the recording, where Shakira's voice predominates, to come out of the speakers of the sports venue, the Colombian singer started singing the single in front of Gerard Piqué.
Of course, his performance caused mixed reactions among those who followed the Kings League broadcast on Twitch. Some celebrated his actions and others criticized him harshly for being a "traitor" and accepting to participate in an event organized by the person who cheated on Shakira.
